Simrad NSX & Mercury Vesselview Kompatibilität

falls es den einen oder anderen interessiert, ich habe heute mit einem sehr freundlichen MA von Simrad telefoniert. Die Vesselview Oberfläche wird mit dem 1.04 Update ausgerollt, aktuell ist es so dass dieses Update schon in manchen Ländern verfügbar ist.

In DE sollte das Update in ca. 2 Wochen spätestens eintreffen.

Diese Information habe ich auch. Das Vesselview ist nur mit EVO oder Go konfigurierbar, soll aber mit der neuen Firmware dann auf dem NSX funktionieren.
Generell ist das NSX noch eine Baustelle, wird sicher mal was werden aber es ist ein komplette Überarbeitung von NavicoOS zu Android.
NavicoOS ist ein ausgereiftes und vorallem geniales System für offenes Netzwerk, da liegen 20 Jahre Entwicklung dahinter.

NSX currently supports advanced engine monitoring and/or control for selected models from the following engine manufacturers, with further support expected in future software versions:

• Honda: UI and control via HTML5 app. Requires Navico OP-Box.
• Suzuki: Data for up to two engines. Requires Suzuki C10 Color Display (p/n 990C0-03C10) and integration with NMEA 2000 network via SEI/interface cable (99OCO-88149-357).
• Mercury, using SmartCraft Connect: Support for up to four engines. Data is displayed on the NSX Instruments app, with alarms integrated into the NSX alert system. Requires one of Mercury p/n 8M0173704 (single engine, under cowl), 8M0173694 (single engine, under helm), 8M0173696 (dual engine) or 8M0173703 (triple/quad engine).
• Mercury, using VesselView Link: Support for up to four engines. Data is displayed on the NSX Instruments app, with alarms integrated into the NSX alert system. Requires Mercury p/n 8M0110639 (single engine) or 8M0110641 (multi engine).

Aber unten steht doch als Hinweis, dass das Vesselview Link bevor es mit dem NSX verbunden wird zb. mit einen Simrad NSS für eine Programmierung angeschlossen sein muss. Dann sollte es doch funktionieren oder? Die Werft will das aber nicht ausprobieren. Sagt, das bringt nix. Ich denke dass dann die Oberfläche sichtbar ist. Oder was denkst du?

Wie gesagt, ich habe direkt mit Simrad telefoniert und dort sagte mir der Techniker, Mitarbeiter oder what ever dass die VesselView Oberfläche mit der Version 1.4 ausgerollt wird und das müsste demnach jetzt bald sein.

Ja, genau den Hinweis hat mir auch ein Online-Händler geschickt. Da steht, dass das Vesselview Link Modul erst an ein anderes Simrad z.B. NSS angeschlossen werden muss und danach ans NSX damit die Oberfläche sichtbar ist. Meine Werft weigert sich jedoch und sagt, dass es Quatsch ist. Verstehe ich nicht. Was denkst du?

Also mein VVL müsste ich auch noch mal updaten, das wäre dann ja einfach per Micro SD-Karte. Aber ob das Prozedere mit dem NSS was hilft kann ich dir nicht sagen, bin da auch nur Endverbraucher. Aber Sigi S. ist da -glaube ich- ein Stück tiefer in der Materie. Sobald du dein NSX per Handy Hotspot o.ä. verbunden hat, müsste dir die App auch ein Update anzeigen, sofern verfügbar.

Okay. Super vielen Dank für Eure Unterstützung. Wenn ich das jetzt richtig verstanden habe, warte ich noch ne Woche bis das neue Update vom NSX ausgerollt wird. Da mein NSX im Hafen immer mit einen WLAN verbunden ist, wird das Update automatisch geladen. Es müsste dann die Mercury App auf dem Display erscheinen oder? Liebe Grüße

Ja, ich habe das Vesselview Link von Mercury letzte Woche und das NSX 3009 einbauen lassen. Derzeit bekomme ich bereits viele Motordaten über die App Instrumente auf dem NSX jedoch nicht die tolle Oberfläche und alle Funktionen.

Habe heute den ganzen Tag in Kroatien am Boot gearbeitet, konnte nicht früher antworten.
Das VVL funktioniert egal welche Software, auf dem NSX mit der Instrumenten App (seit Version 1.0)
Wie schon geschrieben, kommt mit 1.4 die VV Oberfläche
Ob ein Update des VVL mit dem NSX funtionieren wird, kann ich nicht sagen, habe aber eine Software geschieben, die mit Hilfe eines Actisence Gateway das Update ohne ein EVO durchführen kann.

Oh schön. Viel Spaß in Kroatien. Habe ich es richtig verstanden? Dass das Update 1.4. für das VVL Modul ist und somit die Oberfläche auf dem NSX anzeigen kann? Das heißt also, dass ich zur Werft muss, damit die dass VVL updaten können, weil es unklar ist, ob es übers NSX Funktioniert? Könntest du mir bitte eine Nachricht schreiben, wenn das Update ausgerollt wurde? Ich weiß sonst nicht wie ich es mitbekommen soll! Liebe Grüße

Könnte damit zusammen hängen, dass du noch einen analogen Trim Sensor hast, aber durch das Smartcraft/NMEA2000 Netzwerk brauchst du den digital.

Danke. Gibt mein Mercury F 150 EFI kein digitales Signal raus? Du hast recht, vorher war eine analoge Trimmanzeige verbaut. Diese musste aus Platzgründen weichen. Welches Bauteil benötige ich jetzt?

Pop-up messaging
Messaging and warnings sent from a Mercury system will now be displayed on the NSX screen.

Radar Improvements

ZoneTrack replaces Guard Zone
The ZoneTrack feature will automatically track all targets that enter either of two pre-determined user-set zones.
This feature is compatible with:
· Halo20+ and Halo24 domes
· Halo2000 and Halo3000 radars
Tides gauge on the Instrument bar
There is now a new Tide gauge available in the instrument bar.
Edit the gauge and select gauge type Tides. The tide widget will show the closest tide station data and will change dynamically. Alternatively, set Select specific station active, and then select the desired tide station from the list.
Other fixes and improvements
· AIS - Chart rendering performance greatly increased
· MI-10 Card reader now fully supported
· Chart Inspector user interface improvements
· Simulator Improvements. Simulated engine data can be viewed in the Instrument app
· Navigation mode indicator on the activities bar. When the NSX is navigating a route or to a “Goto” waypoint, a visual indicator is visible at the top of the activities bar. Selecting this provides a quick way to access important navigation options such as Stop Navigation, reset Cross Track Error, or show the active route on the chart.
· DSC Calling: Vessels with an AIS system and a connected NMEA 2000 VHF can now select an AIS target from the chart and request a DSC call with that vessel

Once downloaded, there should only be one upgrade file ending with a .upd extension. Some versions of MAC OS will decompress the .upd file. Auto decompress can be turned off safari->preferences->general. Uncheck “open safe files after downloading. Or, there are free MAC utilities such as “The Unarchiver “to better control the handling of zipped files.
3. Copy the .upd file to the root of a Micro SD card or USB drive* (32 GB max FAST32 if upgrading from version 1.0)
4. With the NSX powered on, insert the Mico-SD card (or USB slot*) into the card slot in the rear of the NSX

Also ich habe die Software 1.3.257 auf meinem NSX 3009 aber die beschrieben Funktionen leider noch nicht. Es fehlt einfach der Button (APP) von Mercury, obwohl ich das Vesselview Link Module 8M0110639 sowie einen Smartcraft Motor Mercury F 150 EFI verbaut habe.

Das hat Simrad mir am 02.05.23 auf Nachfrage per E-Mail gesendet.

„Jedoch kann ich Ihnen mitteilen, das die neue Software gerade zur Freigabe gesandt wurde.
Sodass sie sehr kurzfristig mit einer Veröffentlichung rechnen können. „
